Gwyneth Paltrow Praises Met Gala after Bashing

Gwyneth Paltrow's Grandmother Dies

UPDATE: After bashing this year's Met Gala immediately following the event, asserting that she didn't enjoy it and had no future plans of attending, Paltrow is now praising the event via a post to her goop page.

In the post, the Iron Man 3 actress writes:

"The Met Ball, at NYC's Metropolitan Museum of Art, is always the year's most elaborate display of incredible fashion and this year was no different. The theme was 'Punk: Chaos to Couture' and when the house of Valentino's Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri asked me to join them, I was thrilled to see what they would create with my right fashion hand, Elizabeth Saltzman."

Gwyneth Paltrow may have appeared happy as she posed for photos on the red carpet of Monday's Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but she was apparently quite the opposite.

The 40-year-old actress was quoted by USA Today admitting that she didn't enjoy herself at the event and has no plans of attending the event again in the future.

"I'm never going again. It was so un-fun," Paltrow told USA Today. "It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all."

The Iron Man 3 actress attended the event, often referred to as fashion's biggest A-list gathering, in a vibrant pink Valentino dress that took a unique spin on the Met Gala's punk theme.

Paltrow, mother of two children with Coldplay front man Chris Martin, was recently chosen as People's annual Most Beautiful Woman.

The Oscar-winning actress wasn't the only one who had some choice words to say about the Met Ball. The Mindy Project's Mindy Kaling told Jon Stewart on Tuesday night's The Daily Show that she doesn't think she'll be invited back the super-formal affair. "I don't think I'm going to get invited back. ...It's literally a ball where in a Batman movie Bane would come down and take everyone hostage. That's the level. ...Every famous thin person you've ever seen in your life is there. There's not a single person over 130 pounds there, man or woman. ...So, I don't know if I'm gonna go back."
