Google Doodles Up ‘Doctor Who’ Game

Google turned over the daily doodle on its homepage Saturday to “Doctor Who” with a game celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Brit cult hit.

In the multilevel game, available at google.com, players pick one of 11 incarnations of the Doctor and collect all the letters in “Google” — whilst dodging Daleks and other hazards.

The game is just the latest addition to the multimedia “Doctor Who” festivities afoot. Those include a special, “Doctor Who: The Day of The Doctor,” which BBC America premiered Saturday at 2:50 p.m. Eastern (with repeats at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.); worldwide theater screenings; and a YouTube/BBCA live pre-show simulcast and YouTube post-show event.
