‘Good Morning America’ Wins First Halloween Ever in Viewers
“Good Morning America” won its first Halloween ever in total viewers on Thursday, beating out the “Today” show, despite NBC’s “Baywatch”-costumed Matt Lauer.
“GMA” topped “Today” by 713,000 total viewers.
ABC is also touting a viewer victory in Adults 25-54 — its first since 1991, according to Fast Affiliate Time Period Data. Those are preliminary numbers, however, and they are subject to change.

“Good Morning America” boasted 5.4 million viewers from its Oct. 31 broadcast. The “Today” show had 4.7 million. In the 25-54 demo, “GMA” got 2.2 million, whereas “Today” saw 2.1 million.
ABC’s morning show featured a “2013 Buzzy Awards” segment, complete with red carpet, where the hosts and contributors dressed up like the year’s most talked about celebrities.
While each played several characters, the main roles were: Josh Elliot as “Anchorman” Ron Burgundy, Sam Champion as King Joffrey from “Game of Thones,” Robin Roberts as Olivia Pope from “Scandal,” George Stephanopoulos as George Clooney in “Gravity” and Lara Spencer as Miley Cyrus.
