‘GMA’s Sam Champion: “Heart Pounding” Over SCOTUS Gay Marriage Ruling
Today may have had disgraced TV chef Paula Deen on its show today, but ABC’s Good Morning America had weather man Sam Champion to talk about the Supreme Court’s decision striking down the federal Defense of Marriage Act. Champion wed Brazilian photographer Rubem Robierb in December. “You and Rubem were married in December. I can only imagine what this days feels like for you,” George Stephanopoulos said on-air this morning. As the banner “Supreme Court’s Gay Right Ruling. Court Clears Way For CA Gay Marriage” ran across his chest. “My heart’s pounding — like really thumping in my chest,” Champion said. Here’s the video:
