The 32-year-old actress wore a black halter-neck dress with mesh paneling, while LoCicero sported a dapper navy blue suit and tie.

In addition to hosting, Rodriguez was a producer for the event, which honors young Millennial women creating a positive impact in their world. Honorees included Final Five gymnast Simone Biles, Fereshteh Forough, who founded Code to Inspire, a website for women and girls in Afghanistan, and Dr. Vanessa Kerry, the founder of a global initiative to place health professionals abroad to train and build local health services.

Rodriguez gave an impassioned speech during the ceremony, touching on her childhood dreams and her desire to see the next generation of women continue to break barriers.

"This has been a dream of mine since I was very young," Rodriguez said, according to E! News. "I wanted to see images of myself on screen, I wanted to know I belonged, I wanted to know I was enough, I wanted to know I was strong. I wanted to know I was capable. I wanted to know I was possible. And every single woman in this room who came to be part of this project, that is helping me bring this project to a reality, is all that and more."
