Gina Girolamo Joins Working Title As Head Of Television

Working Title has brought in Gina Girolamo as its new EVP Television. Based in Los Angeles, she will be responsible for overseeing the development and production of all new and existing projects for Working Title Television, a joint venture between NBCUniversal International and U.K.-based Working Title Films’ Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner. She will report to Bevan and Fellner as well as to U.S. president of production Liza Chasin. Girolamo succeeds Daniel Pipski, who left in July to become VP Television at Miramax. “We are delighted to welcome Gina to Working Title,” said Bevan and Fellner. “She brings with her a vast knowledge of the TV business, impeccable taste and a wealth of strong relationships.”

This marks Girolamo’s return to NBCUniversal. She began her career at the company where she served as VP Comedy Programming at Universal Media Studios and VP Comedy Development at NBC, helping to develop such comedy series as My Name Is Earl and 30 Rock and also working on Providence, Ed, Happy Family, and Committed.

Girolamo spent the past year as President of TV for McG’s private equity-based Wonderland Sound & Vision. Before that, she spent three years as SVP at Alloy Entertainment where she shepherded the company’s TV slate, executive producing eight projects that went to series including The Lying Game and Ravenswood at ABC Family; The 100, The Originals and The Secret Circle at the CW; How To Rock at Nickelodeon and 666 Park Avenue at ABC. “Tim Eric and Liza’s exquisite taste, eye for talent and fearless pursuit of creativity is unparalleled,” Girolamo said. “This is my dream job.”

Working Title has NBC comedy About A Boy starring Minnie Driver and David Walton, which is coming back for a second season. Universal TV, where Working Title has a deal, is producing.
