First Trailer for Woody Allen’s ‘Blue Jasmine’ (VIDEO)

Woody Allen returns to the U.S. and brings Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett with him in the first trailer for his latest film “Blue Jasmine.”

The Sony Pictures Classics’ dramedy also stars Alec Baldwin and Sally Hawkins and follows Blanchett’s character, Jasmine, who is forced to move in to her sister’s San Francisco apartment after her husband throws her out and leaves her for broke.

Trailer features a very colorful perf from Bobby Cannavale.

“Blue Jasmine” opens on July 26.

Allen’s previous summer releases, “Midnight in Paris” and “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” went on to become awards contenders all the way up to the Oscars.
