The show may go on—but this time without Farrah Abraham. Two years after they signed off from MTV's Teen Mom, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, and Amber Portwood are negotiating a return to the series for a potential fifth season. One person who will not be making an appearance, however, is Abraham, whose porn career and other headline-making antics have isolated her from the rest of the group.
A source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly that MTV execs "willingly cut Farrah" from negotiations, in part because, as Us reported back in March, the three other alums refused to do the show if she did. "MTV agreed," the insider says. "They feel she set a bad example and doesn't represent the network well."
Portwood, 24, Bookout, 22, and Lowell, also 22, requested earlier that Abraham, 22, be axed from a potential reboot of the reality series. "They don't want their kids on a show where someone's talking about sex toys," a source previously told Us.
Abraham, for her part, is just fine with that. "Truthfully, I was never friends with any of them," she told Us in April of her former costars. "Personally, I like to keep my life separate. We came in the project separate, and I think it's best we keep our lives separate."
The single mother—to daughter Sophia, 5—added that she has plenty of other things to keep her busy, including a trilogy of erotic novels she started writing after the release of her sex tape with porn star James Deen. She's also dating, and recently finished a stint on VH1's Couples Therapy.
