Exclusive Preview of Amazon's 'Zombieland: The Series' [Video]

Is "The Walking Dead" a little heavy for you, but you're still hungry for a zombie fix? Well, Amazon Instant Video might have just the thing with its new series "Zombieland," based on the 2009 sleeper hit comedy of the same name.

In this exclusive look at the online streaming comedy (starring Kirk Ward, Tyler Ross, Maiara Walsh, and Izabela Vidovic), the hunt is on, so don’t forget survival rule No. 8: Get a kicka-- partner, because these zombies are as fast as ever. The fake blood flies as this family tries to keep everyone alive in a world infested with the undead. At least they look on the bright side. "There's nothing more romantic than an old couple dying within minutes of one another," says Tallahassee (Ward) after slaughtering an infected elderly couple with a fireplace tool. Aw, that is romantic -- or not.

The good news is the series is written by the duo -- Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick -- who wrote the original screenplay for the film. Also hopeful: The film was intended to be a TV show all along.

But can it ever live up to the expectations set by the film and its hilarious A-list cast (Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, and Bill Murray)? You be the judge; the pilot episode is available on Amazon Instant Video. Happy hunting!
