Entertainment One Names Margaret O'Brien EVP, Corporate Development

Margaret O'Brien has been named executive vice president, Corporate Development, for Entertainment One (eOne), where she'll oversee the company's merger and acquisition activities.

O'Brien joined the company in September 2008 when it acquired Barna-Alper Productions and is currently president, Canada, and chief operating officer for eOne Television. In her role, O'Brien has set up first-look deals and focused on eOne's factual television unit, orchestrating the acquisitions of Paperny Entertainment and Force Four Entertainment.

Most recently, she closed eOne's deal with interactive agency Secret Location, securing an equity stake in the business.
