Emma Watson's a Tease Over '50 Shades of Grey' Role

Emma Watson isn't exactly denying those reports that she is going to play the lead in the "50 Shades of Grey" movie, but she's not saying she is, either.

"Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie?" Watson tweeted Saturday night. "Like really. For real. In real life. Good. Well that's sorted then."

The internet was buzzing Friday after reports that the 22-year-old former "Harry Potter" star was set to play Anastasia Steele began circulating. The stories came after the internal server of German studio Constantin Film was hacked, and a document that said Watson was attached to star in the Universal Pictures-Focus Features film was stolen.

"Fifty Shades" is the first installment in a trilogy that traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. Its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage and sado-masochism.

The second and third volumes, "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed," were published in 2012.

Since it was published in 2011, "Fifty Shades of Grey" has sold over 65 million copies worldwide
