Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins Ink New Deal With ABC Studios

Trophy Wife creators Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins have signed a new two-year overall deal with ABC Studios where they have been based for the past three years. Under the pact, the duo will continue to develop new projects and supervise other writers for the studio.

Under their previous pact at ABC Studios, Halpern and Haskins created and executive produced the underrated ABC comedy series Trophy Wife. This past season, they developed a comedy project as a starring vehicle for Eva Longoria.

On the feature side, Halpern and Haskins wrote the script Book Smart, which was recently optioned by AnnaPurna, as well as the Universal script Lunch Lady and New Line’s Work Wife. Halpern started in TV, writing for ABC’s Private Practice and CBS’ The Unit. Haskins wrote and starred in Current TV’s SuperNewsand Infomania. Both are repped by UTA, Mosaic and attorney Warren Dern.
