Elton John, Lance Bass Each Get Married Marking Hollywood’s Double Gay Wedding Weekend

Hollywood saw a double-wedding weekend for same-sex couples in Elton John and David Furnish and Lance Bass and Michael Turchin.

John and Furnish were married in a small but luxurious ceremony in England on Sunday.

Sharing much of their day on Instagram, the grooms officially tied the knot in recognition of the UK’s legalization of same-sex marriage in March. They entered a civil partnership in 2005.

Sons Zachary, 3, and one-year-old Elijah assisted in the proceedings, attended by star athletes and Hollywood alike.

“Our little ring bearers are fast asleep, and their shoes are polished and ready for tomorrow’s celebration,” John shared on Instagram, uploading snaps with the hashtag “#sharethelove,”

The morning service saw guests in by David and Victoria Beckham, with sons Romeo and Brooklyn in tow, as well as Hugh Grant, Elizabeth Hurley and singer Ed Sheeran.

A lunch reception followed the service, with a menu including beef shortrib and caramelized onion pie, roasted potatoes and chocolate pudding. Adults sipped on Laurent-Perrier rose.

Stateside, former *Nsync singer wed artist Michael Turchin Saturday at Los Angeles’ Park Plaza Hotel.

Details are scarce on the nuptials since E! will air “Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding” on February 5, 2015, but the singer opened up about the planning process.

“The whole wedding itself is very classy, you know. We wanted to plan something that could last for 100 years. When we show our grandchildren this amazing tape of our wedding, the best wedding video ever, I want them to be able to look at this and be like ‘Wow, that stood the test of time,'” Bass told E! Online.

“So we’re using a lot of elements in the wedding that are classy and one of those is definitely our first dance. The song we chose is a song that lasts forever, something that is very special to us.”

Actresses and close pals JoAnna Garcia Swisher and Jamie-Lynn Sigler officiated the ceremony, which counted guests in Lisa Vanderpump and Bass’ bandmates JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick.
