During a rehearsal for tonight’s season finale (ABC, 8/7c), Ballas injured his shoulder while attempting a lift, People reports.
“Mark was seriously injured during camera blocking,” a spokesperson for the show tells the magazine. “His shoulder popped out during a lift and he was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was treated and released. It’s unclear whether or not he’ll be able to perform on Monday’s show.”
Though Ballas was advised not to compete during the finale, the seasoned pro is insisting on hitting the dance floor tonight.
Three other pairs remain in the competition – Amy Purdy and Derek Hough, James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd, and Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy – and now, it’s looking to be anyone’s game.
