Deadline Festivals & Markets Watch Podcast – Cannes 2013

Listen to (and share) our latest Deadline Festivals & Markets Watch podcast, featuring Deadline International Editor Nancy Tartaglione. Nancy speaks from Paris with host David Bloom about this morning’s announcement there of the competition lineup for the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. The competition will feature quite a few French- and English-language films, but not necessarily by French and English or American directors. The Un Certain Regard showcase will include another promising American indie film and Sofia Coppola’s ripped-from-the-headlines latest, while Steven Soderbergh will get a fitting bookend on his Cannes appearances with what he says will be his last movie. Special screenings will include honors for Jerry Lewis and India’s Hindi-language film industry, among others, Nancy says.
