Dave Annable To Star In NBC’s ‘Joe, Joe & Jane’, Echo Kellum Joins Sean Hayes’ Pilot

Dave Annable has been tapped as one of the leads in the NBC multi-camera comedy pilot Joe, Joe & Jane. The project, from writers-executive producers Joe Port and Joe Wiseman and 20th Century Fox TV, is loosely based on the relationship between Port, Wiseman and Wiseman’s wife. It centers on a conflict-avoidant children’s book author caught in an ongoing tug of war between two needy, flawed people: his wife (Sally Pressman) and his handsome ladies man co-author/ best friend (Annable). Annable, repped by CAA and manager Sue Leibman, starred in the ABC drama 666 Park Avenue this season.

Echo Kellum, the breakout co-star of another recently cancelled freshman series, Fox comedy Ben & Kate, is set to co-star opposite Sean Hayes in another NBC multi-camera comedy pilot, the untitled Sean Hayes/Victor Fresco project. Written by Fresco and directed by James Burrows, the comedy, from Universal TV and Hazy Mills, centers on Sean (Hayes), who must figure out how to parent his 14-year-old daughter, who just moved in, while navigating a temperamental new boss at work. Kellum will play Hunter, Sean’s passionate coworker at an online retail company who in his spare time is a musician, artist, photographer and poet. Kellum is a regular after getting cast as a guest star in another NBC comedy pilot, The Gates. Linda Lavin plays Sean’s mom. He is repped by TalentWorks, Odenkirk Provissiero, and attorney Melissa Manfro.
