‘Daredevil’ Trailer: A Blurred Line Between Good And Evil

“When I was a kid, I used to dream what it would be like to live somewhere far away from Hell’s Kitchen, but I realized the city was a part of me, it was in my blood and I would do anything to make it a better place” we hear at the opening of the Daredevil trailer. Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin) teased there would be a surprise today and here it is. Netflix has dropped a full trailer for the first in its four-series superhero package from Marvel starring Boardwalk Empire alum Charlie Cox as lawyer/vigilante Matt Murdock. Rosario Dawson co-stars as Claire Temple. Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight executive produces alongside Drew Goddard and Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb.

In this first dark, extended look, we see Murdock (Cox) and Fisk (D’Onofrio) outline their plans for the city, along with new characters. We also see a bit of a different take on Kingpin’s character. He sees himself as the moral savior of the city, having much in common with Daredevil, but it’s clear both are willing to use violence to do what they need to do. Daredevil premieres April 10 on Netflix. Check out the trailer above.
