The CW Moves Up Hart of Dixie's Season 4 Premiere Date

UPDATE 11/25: It seems The CW can't wait to get back to Bluebell! The network announced on Tuesday that Hart of Dixie Season 4 will debut a few weeks earlier than previously announced, on Monday, December 15 at 8pm. The season premiere will air ahead of the winter finale of Jane the Virgin; after that, Hart of Dixie will immediately take a short hiatus, returning in its regular timeslot on Friday, January 9 at 8pm.

Pack your bags, because we're finally headed back to Bluebell: The CW announced on Tuesday that southern dramedy Hart of Dixie will now return for its shortened, 10-episode fourth season on Friday, January 9 at 9pm.

When we last visited the charming but wacky town populated by Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson) and her colorful circle of friends, the titular doctor had decided she was finally going to fight for Wade (Wilson Bethel), who'd opted to stay in Bluebell and continue to run the Rammer Jammer after all. Meanwhile, George (Scott Porter) and Lavon (Cress Williams) had both decided they weren't quite over the tasty offerings of one Lemon Breeland (Jaime King), and Annabeth (Kaitlyn Black) had dumped Barry Watson's Davis because he owned way too many shoes (and because she was totally still in love with Lavon).

Hoo boy, that's a lot of potential drama to cover in just 10 episodes! I don't know if Hart of Dixie can do it, but for now I'm just hoping that, regardless of whether Season 4 turns out to be the show's last, The CW will lead us to a satisfactory conclusion at the end of this rocky road.
