The CW Acquires Medieval Miniseries ‘Labyrinth’

Four-hour event miniseries “Labyrinth” is joining the CW lineup, the net announced today.

“Labyrinth” is based on a novel penned by Kate Mosse, and has already aired in countries including Canada, Poland, Korea and the U.K. Historical program jumps back and forth between modern and medieval France and follows the lives of two women who are separated by centuries, but united in their search for the Holy Grail. Jessica Brown-Findlay and Vanessa Kirby topline “Labyrinth.”

Mini adds to CW’s lineup of sudsy historical fiction, which includes freshman drama “Reign.” Net has not set a premiere date for the four-hour series yet.

“Labyrinth” is produced by Tandem Communications and Film Afrika Worldwide in association with Scott Free Films and Universal Production Partners.
