Comic-Con: Harrison Ford Returns to Promote ‘Ender’s Game’

Harrison Ford will return to Comic-Con to promote “Ender’s Game.”

After surprising attendees in 2010 when he showed up on stage in hand-cuffs during a panel for Universal’s “Cowboys & Aliens” (marking his first trip to the Con), Ford will make the trek to San Diego again next month for Summit Entertainment’s adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s book, out Nov. 1.

Summit’s Comic-Con plans for the film include a Hall H panel inside the convention center, on July 18, that will feature Ford, along with fellow castmembers Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld and Abigail Breslin, producer Bob Orci and director Gavin Hood, who will present new footage from the film.

Company will also produce a specially constructed “Ender’s Game” exhibit outside of the Hilton Gaslamp hotel, featuring eight representing the more iconic environments of Ender’s world, complete with original film props and set pieces used in the production of the movie. Experiential exhibit will also screen exclusive film footage on LED screens, and let guests interact with new digital content, integrate photos of themselves into the highly anticipated Battle Room, and register to win a home make over.

Summit’s booth on the convention center’s show floor will also spotlight “Ender’s Game” footage and distribute promotional items to the 120,000 attendees expected to walk the hall.
