Chris Meloni to Star in Syfy's Happy! Graphic Novel Adaptation
Chris Meloni‘s next co-star: a blue-winged horse. (Seriously.)
The Law & Order: SVU vet will headline the Syfy drama pilot Happy!, based on Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson’s graphic novel of the same name, our sister site Deadline reports.

Meloni — who also serves as an executive producer on the project — will play Nick Sax, a former detective who lost it all and now makes just enough money to support a steady diet of booze, drugs and sarcasm as a hired killer for the mob. After one hit goes wrong, his life is forever changed by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary blue-winged horse.
Morrison and Brian Taylor (Jonah Hex, Crank) will pen the pilot, which Taylor will also direct.
Meloni currently stars on WGN’s Underground and will return for Season 2 of Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer.
