CBS Orders Second Medical Drama Pilot
CBS has ordered drama pilot “LFE,” the net’s second medical project in contention this cycle.
“LFE” comes from CBS Television Studios and exec producer Dan Jinks (“Emily Owens, M.D.”) and co-exec producer Paul Downs Colaizzo, who penned the pilot. The drama is described as a high-octane medical procedural following second-year residents at the top hospital in New York City as they attempt to balance their “god complexes” with their humanity.
Earlier this week, the Eye ordered the ER-set “Code Black,” based on a docu feature, to pilot.
CBS Entertainment chair Nina Tassler has expressed her interest in bringing a medical drama to the Eye’s slate, which hasn’t had a successful series in the genre in many seasons.
