CBS Cancels 'CSI: Miami,' 'Rob,' 'Unforgettable,' 'A Gifted Man'

David Caruso has whipped off those sunglasses for the final time: CBS has cancelled veteran drama series "CSI: Miami," as well the freshman dramas "Unforgettable," "A Gifted Man," "NYC 22," and the comedy "Rob." The star of "A Gifted Man" took to Twitter to vent about the news.

"CSI: Miami," which premiered in 2002, is the first series in the network's "CSI" franchise to be cancelled. "CSI" has aired since 2000, and underwent a revamp this season with the addition of Ted Danson to the cast. "CSI: NY" is also expected back next season.

"'CSI: Miami' leaves an amazing television legacy -- a signature look and style, global popularity and as a key player in CBS's rise to the top over the past decade," CBS said in a statement. "We thank all the producers -- led by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ann Donahue -- and its talented cast, led by David Caruso, for 10 outstanding seasons. Viewers around the world will continue to enjoy rebroadcasts of 'CSI: Miami' in syndication and on key digital platforms for many years to come."

"A Gifted Man" star Patrick Wilson tweeted about his show's end: "So...shocking to no one: #agiftedman is done. Found out via email...and not from the network. Stay classy. Thanks to AGM fans! ... but now that it's "official," I couldn't be happier. As good as it was (sometimes) it was not what I signed on for."

The cancellations came as CBS announced several new series Sunday, including the dramas "Elementary," "Vegas," "Made in Jersey," and "Golden Boy," the comedies "Friend Me" and "Partners," and the reality series "The Job."
