Polly Bergen died at her home on Saturday.

Emmy-winning actress and singer Polly Pergen passed away at the age of 84. According to The New York Times, no cause was specified, but her publicist confirmed that she died in her home in Southbury, Connecticut.

Bergen starred in dozens of films including Cape Fear, Kisses for My President and Cry-Baby.

She was also a talented singer and made her Broadway in 1953's "John Murray Anderson's Almanac." Bergen later recorded "Little Girl Blue" in 1955.

Acting in movies and singing on Broadway, she made the transition to television too. She was on To Tell The Truth and hosted her own variety series in the late 1950s. Her Emmy win came for her role as Helen Morgan in 1957 in Playhouse 90. She won for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie.

Most recently, she starred in The Sopranos, Commander in Chief and Desperate Housewives. Her role as Stella Wingfield received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.
