Calvin Klein Under Fire for Upskirt Underwear Ad: ‘Child Porn,’ ‘Disgusting,’ ‘Creepy’ (Photo)
Calvin Klein is getting major backlash on social media for an advertisement image being compared to child pornography.
Those bothered by the upskirt shot of 22-year-old Danish actress Klara Kristin have used words like “creepy,” “disgusting,” “predatory” and “child porn” to describe the image displaying the model’s crotch covered by underwear.
“I flash in #mycalvins,” the caption reads on the image featured on the clothing brand’s Instagram account.
“She looks all of 12 years old… sick,” one user commented on the social media platform.

“Sure just look under girls skirts, we’re just here for your entertainment, we objects,” commented another.
“Your up the skirt picture is a shame,” one person wrote. “That is what pedophiles do… It is illegal to take a picture of someone under their skirt. How amazing that your pornographic image (which would be illegal if it were someone else) is what you have reverted to to sell your items. I have been a life-long Calvin Klein customer. I CAN NOT SUPPORT YOUR BRAND ANY LONGER WITH ADVERTISING LIKE THAT!!!”

@CalvinKlein awful ad. Your concept looks predatory. This "upskirt" photo invites men to do this to women. Disrespectful.

Not everyone is bothered by the picture, though. TheWrap noticed people praising the ad campaign on social media, as well. “Nothing wrong with this photo,” one person wrote on Instagram. “Great marketing, no illicit content. Welcome to the new world, get used to it.”
Calvin Klein has not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.

I get that @CalvinKlein likes to "go there", push the envelope and show too much skin but this is just creepy and too far. Not ok in my book

@CalvinKlein Wow. It's like I'm looking up the skirt of my little niece. Exactly what audience are you trying to target? Disgusting.

@CalvinKlein Geez – pushing the limits of fashion does not have to include soft porn.

@CalvinKlein wtf… did you seriously become so desperate that you had to go to the upskirt?

@CalvinKlein I buy your underwear but I'd just like to say that this ad objectifies women and encourages perverts to continue acts like this
