Broadway Producer Michael Filerman Dies at 76

Highly acclaimed T.V. and Broadway producer Michael Filerman died Saturday night at home in Los Angeles after a brief bout with cancer. He was 76.

Best known for his role as a top producer at Lorimar Productions, having a hand in CBS’ “Knots Landing,” Filerman also produced “Dallas,” “Falcon Crest” and “Sisters.”

He was also responsible for bringing Broadway hits such as the now running “Cinderella,” “Driving Miss Daisy,” “Nice Work if You Can Get It” and “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” to the stage.
