New details about the brawl between relatives of Bobbi Kristina Brown emerged on Friday, as did the 911 call that brought police to the Altanta hotel where the altercation occurred.
According to a police report obtained by TheWrap, Shayne told officers that he was at the hotel to attend a birthday party for Bobby Brown, who turned 46 on Thursday. Shayne said he was arguing with his mother about a valet parking ticket and that, during the disagreement, Tina spit in his face and struck him on his head with a glass bottle.
Shayne stated that he didn’t want to file charges against his mother, who had left the scene.
One witness told police that she saw Tina spit in her son’s face and heard glass break but didn’t see her strike him with a bottle. Another witness also said that he did not see the bottle strike, but did witness Shayne “swinging” on Tina.
Shayne Brown opted not to be transported via ambulance, choosing to drive himself to the hospital instead.
On the 911 call, a man can be heard telling the dispatcher: “We have a group that’s fighting in the bar and they are not leaving.”
The caller stated that there were no weapons, but “they used one of the glasses at our bar as a weapon, though; they hit somebody and cut him in the face.”
The caller estimated that there were “like eight or 10 people” involved in the fight.
The incident occurred less than two weeks before the third anniversary of Houston’s death. Eerily, the iconic singer was found dead in a bathtub, prior to her mentor Clive Davis‘ pre-Grammys party. Houston was 48.
