AMC will use the coattails of this year’s “Mad Men” finale on June 1 to launch the 1980s-set drama “Halt and Catch Fire.”

The series will bow in the 10 p.m. time slot following the closer of the first half of “Mad Men’s” final season.

Lee Pace and Scoot McNairy topline “Halt,” which revolves around the rise of the PC business in Texas in the 1980s. Series was created by Chris Cantwell and Chris Rogers.

Jonathan Lisco (“Southland”) is showrunner and exec producer with “Breaking Bad’s” Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein.

“Halt” is the second original drama to bow on the cabler this year. “Turn,” which focuses on spies during the Revolutionary War, is set to open on April 6. AMC is looking to restock its original series arsenal after bidding farewell last fall to “Breaking Bad,” and in preparation for “Mad Men’s” final seven-episode outing next year.
