Ahmad Givens, ‘Real Chance of Love’ Star, Dead at 33

Ahmad Givens, aka Real, star of VH1’s “Real Chance of Love,” died Saturday following a battle with colon cancer, Givens’ spokesperson told TheWrap. He was 33.

Givens starred on the reality dating show, an offshoot of “I Love New York,” with his brother Kamal Givens, aka Chance. The show, which premiered in October 2008, featured women competing for the pair’s affection. The show aired for two seasons.

Ahmad and Kamal were also in the rap group Stallionaires.

According to TMZ, Givens was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in 2013 and underwent surgery, but began chemotherapy treatments this year after the cancer returned.

Givens posted on Instagram in December that he had undergone surgery to remove tumors from his rectum and liver. He also noted that he had been removed from chemotherapy because “none of it works anymore.”

“I have about 4 clinical trials to choose from which look really promising,” Givens added.

Last month, he tweeted that he hadn’t been feeling well lately.

“By to my favorite guy in this whole world be in peace we love you forever bro I’ll see you one day soon we shall dance again in God’s kingdom forever and ever bro words can’t describe my pain world pray for me!” Kamal Givens wrote on his Instagram account Saturday.
