ABC Family Adds 3 to Cast of First Crime Procedural ‘Stitchers’

ABC Family added three new names to the cast of “Stitchers,” the youth-skewing network’s first ever procedural, on Wednesday.

Ritesh Rajan, Salli Richardson-Whitfield and Allison Scagliotti will join as series regulars, starring alongside previously announced leads, newcomer Emma Ishta (Kirsten) and former “Carrie Diaries” star Kyle Harris (Cameron).

“Stitchers” follows Kirsten after she’s recruited into a covert government agency to be “stitched,” which allows her to tap into the mind of the recently deceased. She’s assisted by Cameron, a brilliant neuroscientist.

The secret program will be headed by Maggie (Richardson-Whitfield), a covert operations veteran, and includes Linus (Rajan), a socially immature bioelectrical engineer. Scagliotti is set to play Kirsten’s roommate, Camille, a gifted computer science grad student also recruited by the agency.

Scagliotti previously starred as Claudia Donovan on Syfy’s “Warehouse 13.” The Kohner Agency and The Schiff Company represent her.

Richardson-Whitfield starred on Syfy’s “Eureka” and appeared in the films “Black Dynamite” and “I Am Legend.” Innovative Artists and More / Medavoy Management represent her.

Rajan, who appears in Jon Favreau‘s upcoming adaptation of “The Jungle Book,” is repped by Global Artists Agency and Brinda Bhatt.

“Stitchers” is created and written by Jeffrey A. Schechter (“Overruled!”). He will executive produce alongside Jonathan Baruch and Rob Wolken. Todd Holland (“The Larry Sanders Show,” “Malcolm in the Middle”) will direct the premiere episode.
