'Dancing With the Stars' Week 6 Recap: It's a Stevie Wonder-ful Night for Kellie Pickler

Week 6 of "Dancing With the Stars" had Stevie Wonder in the house as the celebs danced in honor of the 50th anniversary of his first No. 1 single. And while the legendary singer performed three times during the two-hour show, it was the house band that took over some of his biggest hits. Still, it was a Wonder-ful theme that was topped off with the ultrapopular team dances.

Check out how this season's remaining eight celebs did as they took on Stevie and team spirit.

Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough (Stevie song: "Part-Time Lover")

Kellie Pickler got wiggy with it, covering her pixie 'do with a mass of blonde ringlets. (Carrie Ann Inaba called her a "Chia Pet.") The "American Idol" alum's quickstep with Derek Hough had a minor spacing issue, but only eagle-eye Carrie Ann noticed -- or cared. Len Goodman dubbed the dance the best he's seen on Season 16. Finally a 10 from Len!

Zendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy (Stevie song: "Do I Do")

Last week she scored the first 10s of the season, but how did Disney star Zendaya Coleman and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, do with this week's cha-cha? Cue up two more 10s! Zendaya shook things up with a black-and-gold fringed dress and some serious moves, nabbing a pair of 10s and one nine. (Guess who the lone holdout was at the judges' table?) Bruno Tonioli praised her "slick hip action" and added, "You can cha-cha me anytime!"

Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess (Stevie song: "Signed, Sealed, Delivered")

Comedian Andy Dick went postal for his dance with partner Sharna Burgess when he dressed as a postman and danced what Bruno called "a splendid shambles of a samba." Carrie Ann was downright confused: "What dance was he doing?" she asked. And while Len acknowledged that the dance "wasn't that good technically," he gave Andy a thumbs-up for "fun." Still, this dance tied for the lowest-scoring solo routine of the night, with triple sixes.

Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd (Stevie song: "I Wish")

Sean Lowe had one goal this week: to beat Andy Dick's samba score. What viewers got was a spray-tanned, shirtless Sean and a whole lot of shimmying. Len told the "Bachelor" star that he needed to set his sights higher if all he wanted to do was beat Andy, while Bruno told him, "Look at the bright side. You can always get a job as a stripper." (Oh snap!) Score: a round of sevens.

Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas (Stevie song: "Isn't She Lovely")

Last week's live show was an especially difficult one for Boston native Aly Raisman, and this week she was still feeling emotional. Following the Boston Marathon bombing, she told TV Guide that she planned to dedicate this week's dance to her hometown. "Hopefully I can do well for them. I want to do this for Boston," she said. Her foxtrot with Mark Ballas to the Stevie Wonder classic "Isn't She Lovely" was "pretty as a picture and definitely lovely," according to Bruno. Nines all around.

Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson (Stevie song: "Uptight")

It was a happy birthday for Ingo Rademacher, who was celebrating his 42nd birthday with a tango. The soap actor clearly liked the dance, and it showed. "Welcome to the game!" Carrie Ann shouted, while Len told the "General Hospital" star, "This dance really suited you." Bingo, Ingo!

Victor Ortiz and Lindsay Arnold (Stevie song: "I Just called to Say I Love You")

Knocked out by a broken heart, pro boxer Victor Ortiz tried to rumba his blues away with pro partner Lindsay Arnold. Unfortunately, his dance gave the judges the blues. "At times it looked like an airline safety drill," Bruno said of the top-heavy dance. The bottom line: Victor joined Andy Dick in the bottom two.

Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff (Stevie song: "For Once in My Life")

Last week, Len threatened that he'd never give Jacoby Jones a nine because of his pigeon-toed feet. This week, the NFL star and his partner, Karina Smirnoff, danced right into the audience with their quickstep, but Len was quick to point out his displeasure: "This was like a Beatles medley," the head judge said. "It started out 'Please Please Me' and by the end I was like 'Help.'" Jones defended his funky feet, saying that he needs his pigeon toes for his day job.

In addition to individual dances, this week the stars took sides for the all-important team dances.

Team Paso (Stevie song: "Higher Ground")

First up was the paso doble team: Zendaya/Val, Jacoby/Karina, Victor/Lindsay, and Ingo/Kym. While the guys went shirtless and Jacoby leaped over Karina in what is now his signature move, the dance as a whole didn't dazzle the judges. "It was like watching an episode of 'Wrestlemania,'" Bruno said, noting that the group lost sync several times.

"This dance was a little broken … too sloppy; it was kind of a mess," Carrie Ann offered. The team members got 22 points added to their scores.

Team Samba (Stevie song: "Superstition")

Welcome to Team PicklerDick. Andy coined the nickname for his team, which consisted of Kellie/Derek, Andy/Sharna, Aly/Mark, and Sean/Peta. On his blog for TV Guide, Derek Hough revealed that the pro dancers initially butted heads over this team dance: "The team dance is in shambles right now. We're not in good shape," he wrote. The pro powerhouse added that he's won every team dance he's been part of. So did this season's Team Samba dance break Derek's winning streak?

The team's '70's disco theme had Bruno saying, "It was like a reunion of the cast of 'Boogie Nights,'" while all of the judges thought this group killed it, awarding each of the dancers 25 points. Derek's record remains intact, and his partner soars to the top of the leaderboard.
