'Bachelorette' Backlash? Viewer Thinks Live Tweets Are a Thorn in Her Side

Tired of seeing tweets on your TV screen? One viewer of "The Bachelorette" has had it up to here! During Monday night's episode of the ABC reality romance series, a viewer named Alexa Stout made her feelings known about the distracting sentiments that roll across the screen during the show.

As "Bachelorette" star Desiree Hartsock juggled a solo date atop the iconic Hollywood sign, a road trip to Ojai, and a hilarious group date featuring rapper Soulja Boy, a series of live tweets from viewers — a new feature this season — churned out.

Stout took to the Twitterverse to declare:

Whoa — tell us how you really feel, sister!

According to Entertainment Weekly, questions about how Stout's testy tweet made it on air — and if the chirpy practice will be continued (we're only at Episode 2!) — weren't answered by ABC reps, but not everyone disapproves. Viewer Mike Turac (wait, a guy watches this show?) tweeted:

"The Bachelorette" isn't the only reality show to incorporate live tweets into its broadcasts. "American Idol" and "Dancing With the Stars" have both done it, making the audience even more involved in already-interactive shows. It seems that TV tweets are here to stay.

While most of "The Bachelorette" tweets have been comical (The Final Rose tweeted, "There must be a store that sells only hoodies and v necks next door to the mansion #Bachelorette"), Stout's snarky post definitely hit the hashtag jackpot. Of her newfound "fame," she took to Twitter again, this time tweeting:

Someone give this girl a rose, please!
