Newly opened Eustis Market offers something for everyone

Coffee? Ice cream? Mac & cheese? Tacos? Beer? Check, check, check, check and check.

The Eustis Market recently opened in downtown Eustis and is already filling up with fun little shops that offer something for everyone. Walking in, people can relax in their charming, rustic-style dining area surrounded by mini eateries that offer a variety of local favorites.

It’s In The DNA Coffee

If the name sounds familiar, it should. This popular coffee truck has established its first permanent location inside the market. Owned by Dalonte and Adriana (DNA) Henderson, the coffee shop became known for its famous ice drip coffees, a lengthy process that only allows a limited number of cups per day.

The Eustis Market is located at 24 E. Magnolia Ave.

“We are so excited to finally be open,” Adriana said. “We are still doing the mobile truck at events, but now we have a location where people can come get their favorites.”

Some of the local favorites include the signature lattes, energy refreshers and fruit smoothies. New to the eatery are sweet and savory crepes, including Nutella, strawberry, blueberry and lemon custard, Monte Cristo, smoke salmon and a pizza crepe.

They are open 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

All Mac Matters

This newly established restaurant offers a fresh twist on the classic comfort food: mac and cheese. Founded by twins Jonathan Hunt and Jessica Sweat, whose love for mac and cheese comes from their upbringing in New York, All Mac Matters takes Mac and cheese on a culinary journey that fuses international flavors.

For a classic style, the plain Jane offers a creamy cheese sauce on top spiral noodles. But for the more adventurous, try the Caribbean Mac, with jicama slaw, cilantro-infused lime crema, and a crunch of plantain chips. Or the Mexi Mac with fresh pico de Gallo, tortilla strips and avocado crema.

There’s also a junior Mac version, and options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.

They are open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

Baked and Scooped

This colorful and bright eatery offers specialty waffles, ice cream, cookies and more. Colleen McGrory decided a little retail shop was just what she needed to move her home bakery in to.

“Everyone has been so nice,” she said. “I just love this area and am so happy to be here.”

Grab a specialty Belgian waffle topped with powdered sugar, butter, maple syrup, whipped cream and sprinkles, or get a speciality like the chocolate delight, strawberry spectacular or peanut butter banana mountain. Make it extra special with a scoop of ice cream.

She also offers cookie ice cream sandwiches, fruit cups and yogurt parfaits.

They are currently open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The Crooked Fork

In the back of the market you’ll find a charming bar with lots of dining options. It has everything from small plates, soups, salads, wings, nachos, burgers and flatbreads. Not to mention you can grab a craft beer or glass of wine after a long day.

Hours are still being set but they are currently open from lunch until around 9 p.m.

The Eustis Market is located at 24 E. Magnolia Ave. Other shops are still moving in and should be open soon, including Tacos de Oro and Awwal Curry House. There will also be a few retail shops including Sitaras Jewelry House, and there are still spots available for rent. Look for a grand opening celebration in January.
