Newborn twin babies dressed up to celebrate Dolly Parton and Elvis Presley's birthdays

Williamson Health in Franklin, Tn., opted for a very tiny and very cute way to celebrate two significant Tennesseans' birthdays during the month of January.

The medical center dressed two tiny newborn twin babies in crocheted outfits, one resembling Dolly Parton's coat of many colors (complete with acoustic guitar) and the other Elvis Presley's famous white jumpsuit with red scarf and microphone. The photos were posted on social media and have garnered national media attention.

The post said, "Happy birthday month to Dolly and Elvis, and thank you for the memorable mark you’ve made in our home state of Tennessee, in music, and in all of our lives. We can’t imagine a world today without the impact these two icons have and continue to make on the world, and we can’t wait to see the inspiration these twins take from #Dolly and #Elvis wherever they go in life."

Michele Simpson, director of marketing and communications for Williamson Health, said in a statement that Williamson Medical Center has been posting monthly photos of newborn babies with a different theme each month and added the monthly project is a labor of love that celebrates the joy of new life.

"Williamson Health works with a local resident, Janet Weidner of Bizzy Bee Crochet, who spends countless hours each month to lovingly hand make the precious newborn outfits," Simpson stated. "When the outfits are complete, Kristie Lloyd, a local newborn photographer and former Williamson Health OB nurse, comes to the hospital to photograph two newborns wearing their custom ensembles. After each photoshoot, the parents are gifted the special outfits and the beautiful photos as a fun way to commemorate the special day. Then, when the time is right, Williamson Health shares the adorable photos for all to enjoy."
