Saquon Barkley and Tua Tagovailoa to play 'Madden' for Verizon's 'Pay It Forward Live'

Saquon Barkley and Tua Tagovailoa are ready to get their video game on. While the New York Giants star running back and Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback still have a few months to go before they’re back on the gridiron, the two NFL players will engage in an epic battle on EA Sports Madden NFL 20 on Tuesday, May 26 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT for the latest installment of Verizon’s Pay It Forward Live streaming series to support small businesses affected by COVID-19. The event, hosted by actor and comedian Rob Riggle, will be archived and available on demand here for one week.

“I’m excited to join Verizon’s Pay It Forward Live and highlight some of my favorite small businesses,” says Barkley. “Tua and I will have some fun as we support a great cause.”

“Local businesses are very important to me and my family and now more than ever they really need our support,” adds Tagovailoa. “I’m excited to team up with Verizon and Saquon to not only help out, but to bring some football to people’s homes!”

Over the course of the twice-weekly Pay It Forward Live, viewers are encouraged to tag their favorite local businesses and do what they can to support them — shop online, make a purchase in advance for when the crisis is over and the businesses reopen, or order a meal. Verizon will also donate $10 to support small businesses, up to $2.5 million, each time the hashtag #PayItForwardLive is used, on top of the $7.5 million the company has already pledged.
