For the every day person on the street, people in Britain are seeing a big drop in asking prices for their homes. However, in the world of luxury living, the properties are getting bigger and more expensive and elaborate.

Estate agents gave Yahoo Finance UK the first glimpse of the latest property of this kind to go on the market — a £30m ($37.7m) mega-mansion in one of London’s most affluent areas, Belgravia. The property on Wilton Crescent, is a combination of two houses, creating a a 8,372 square foot private palace.

Rokstone said that the property is one of less than half a dozen mega-mansions, created from combining houses in central London.

The home has 11 bedrooms and five reception rooms across six floors. Whoever moves in can expect to be neighbours with the High Commission of Singapore and the Embassy of Luxembourg.

Rokstone says that the property is so large, the new owner could create their own health spa or leisure complex, if they wanted. But they wouldn’t have to worry about an elevator — there is one in the impressive entrance hall that opens directly onto all floors of the property.

“Wilton Crescent is one of the finest homes to come to Belgravia market in many years, it’s quite simply ‘the Picasso Mansion’ ideal for showcasing artwork,” said Becky Fatemi, managing director of Rokstone. “Not only does it offer vast living space for a family, but it’s very rare to find a home in Belgravia with such expansive lateral living space above ground, created from the joining of two properties.”

Unlike many renovated luxury properties, the home at Wilton Crescent does not exude sleek, neutral tones, but instead was decorated by an internationally-acclaimed hotel designer Jinnie Kim, to create “an opulent design throughout.”

The property also comes with 1,414 sq. ft. of external patios and balconies and overlooks the Wilton Crescent gardens.
