‘New Girl’ Thanksgiving First Look: Jess Needs More ‘Umph’ From Robby
It’s Thanksgiving on New Girl, with turkey and stuffing and all the sides — but no “umph.” In this first look at tonight’s episode, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) reflects on her failed attempt to date Robby (Nelson Franklin) as she prepares for the big feast.
“He’s such a good egg. With his dad khakis and his glasses and his sweet little change purse,” Jess says. Then, she realizes, “He’s too nice. There’s just no ‘umph’!” Cece (Hannah Simone) agrees that “umph” is very important, while Nick (Jake Johnson) wonders why they don’t just call it by its real name: “Just say sex!”
But Winston (Lamorne Morris) shakes his head. “It’s more than that, Nick,” he says, “It’s fire, it’s passion, it’s… ‘hachachachacha.'” Is anyone else having flashbacks to Sex and the City‘s “zsa-zsa-zu” scene?
