New Footage of Your Favorite ‘X-Men’ Character Quicksilver

When Evan Peters’s Quicksilver look in X-Men: Days of Future Past was first revealed, fans got really upset. As Yahoo Movies pointed out in 2014, his getup inspired comparisons to “’90s club kids,” Spy Kids villains, and even Corey Feldman in Dream a Little Dream.” But then the movie came out and the criticism was less harsh after director Bryan Singer spotlighted the character in an amazing escape sequence.

Now, thanks to Kia Motors, we’ve got some new Quicksilver footage from its new international commercial. While the spot doesn’t include any actual footage that will be appearing in X-Men: Apocalypse, it does give a little love to a character many people liked but who hasn’t received a lot of attention in the sequel’s promotion.

We would like to take time to point out that this isn’t the best superhero commercial. Let us not forget Batman’s Diet Coke shopping trip. It featured Michael Gough as Alfred phoning ahead to a convenience store to announce that someone was coming to pick up soda — that someone being Batman himself.
