There Has Never Been a More Important Time to Travel

From Esquire

For the sake of my blood pressure, I needed to get out of America.

My eyes turned to Mexico. What better way to answer the hatred and vitriol directed at the country than by spending my hard-earned American green there? During my travels, I got to see a different side to our southern neighbor. Not the version from problematic Looney Tunes and MTV Spring Break, not the bullshit spewing from politicians' tongues-the real Mexico, a place where people pour you a shot at the door and feed you until you can't walk, and music and laughter fill the air until dawn.

It was just what I needed. I returned from Mexico feeling more at ease. The hospitality and joy I experienced inured me from all the nonsense waiting for me when I returned. In other words, I felt better. Isn't that what getting away is all about?

For those who have the privilege, there’s never been a more important moment than this one to travel beyond your own backyards, to get outside of the comfortable bubbles created by algorithms and social media. And we're going to help you do it.

Whether it's figuring out where to go to what to do when you get there, we've assembled everything you need to make a successful escape-even if only for a few days. Because no matter where you roam, what you'll get in return is a clear head, a fresh perspective, and a reminder that we're all in this thing together. -Nate Erickson
