Netflix’s The Witcher will end in Season 5, the streaming giant announced on Twitter, and the video game adaptation will cover three Andrzej Sapkowski novels. Netflix also said that The Witcher Season 4 is in production and that it and Season 5 will film back-to-back.

“It's official, The Witcher season 4 is in production,” the Twitter post reads. “But that's not all, we're already planning season 5, which will be the final season and bring this epic show to a fitting conclusion. See you on The Continent.”

Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake are the last three Sapkowski Netflix is adapting, and they’re a pretty wild ride. Vampires, elves, and Arthurian legends fade in and out of Geralt’s quest to find Ciri, and Ciri herself develops a rather grim reputation after joining a band of rebels called The Rats, to the point where Tower of the Swallow opens with a story about Ciri as a merciless killer.

Whether Netflix sticks to Sapkowski’s books for the final two seasons is up in the air. The Witcher’s first two seasons took quite a few liberties, though Season 3 – Henry Cavill’s last as Geralt of Rivia – stuck pretty close to the source material.

The Witcher Season 4 and 5 will feature Liam Hemsworth (Empire State, The Expendables) as Geralt, following Cavill’s departure from the show. There’s no anticipated air date for either season.
