Netflix Reveals a New Look at Its 3 Body Problem Adaptation—and Its Release Date

We’ve known since 2020 that Game of Thrones co-creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss would be shepherding 3 Body Problem, Netflix’s series adaptation of Chinese author Liu Cixin’s acclaimed sci-fi novel—and we’ve known since 2021 who was going to star in it. Now, we know when it’s arriving: March 21, 2024.
Netflix revealed the date of 3 Body Problem’s premiere today as part of its Geeked Week festivities, and also shared a brief clip. The Three Body Problem (which is how the novel’s title is styled) has already spawned a podcast and an anime, but it certainly appears the series, which looks like it boasts lavish production values, will elevate things to a whole new level:
