Netflix Reveals ‘Fall of the House of Usher’ Trailer From Mike Flanagan

Mike Flanagan’s latest Netflix horror series, The Fall of the House of Usher, has released its official trailer.

Usher is an ambitious remix of the works of Edgar Allan Poe, taking some of his best-known tales and weaving them into an overarching story of a dynastic family suffering a mysterious series of calamities.

Flanagan has become the streamer’s literary horror maestro, with previous projects including The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor and adaptations of Stephen King’s Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep.

The official description: “In this wicked series based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe, ruthless siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher have built Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into an empire of wealth, privilege and power. But past secrets come to light when the heirs to the Usher dynasty start dying at the hands of a mysterious woman from their youth.”

The expansive ensemble cast includes Bruce Greenwood, Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell, Carl Lumbly, Mark Hamill, Michael Trucco, T’Nia Miller, Paola Nuñez, Henry Thomas, Kyliegh Curran, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, Kate Siegel, Sauriyan Sapkota, Zach Gilford, Willa Fitzgerald, Katie Parker, Malcolm Goodwin, Crystal Balint, Aya Furukawa, Daniel Jun, Matt Biedel, Ruth Codd, Annabeth Gish, Igby Rigney and Robert Longstreet.

The series consists of eight episodes, which will be released Oct. 12. Flanagan and Michael Fimognari directed four episodes each, with Trevor Macy also producing.
