Hallmark Channel announced the premiere dates of six all-new movies releasing as part of the network’s “Fall Harvest” programming event, running from Sept. 11 through Oct. 16. The program lineup includes fall romances and holiday specials, alongside a Mystery Movies round of films.

The lineup of new films start on Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. with “Roadhouse Romance,” starring Lauren Alaina and Tyler Hynes. The movie follows country music fan Callie, who is determined to continue her late grandfather’s legacy, and TV director Luke, who encourages her to look forward instead of back. The following week features “Raise A Glass To Love,” on Sept. 18 at 6 p.m., starring Laura Osnes and Juan Pablo Di Pace as Jenna and Argentinian winemaker Marcelo, who fall in love at Jenna’s family vineyard. “Taking The Reins,” which follows a writer who goes back home for an article about horses and discovers what ended her marriage and why she stopped riding, premieres on Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. The film stars Nikki DeLoach, Scott Porter, Corbin Bernsen and Janine Turner.

Hallmark’s Fall Harvest programming will also include the time-traveling “Love Strikes Twice” on Oct. 2 at 6 p.m., which follows Maggie, who wishes for a do-over and wakes up 15 years earlier with a choice: her husband Josh or an ex-boyfriend. The film stars Kate Findlay and Wyatt Nash. “South Beach Love,” a story about rival quinceañeras and romance, premieres on Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. and stars Taylor Cole and William Levy. The last film to premiere is “Flirting With Romance,” on Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. Starring Erinn Westbrook and Brooks Darnell, the film follows a love advice author and a dating columnist whose attraction begins to blossom.

The streamer’s Movies and Mysteries will also be running alongside the Fall Harvest lineup, including “Redemption In Cherry Springs,” starring Rochelle Aytes, Keith Robinson and Frankie Faison on Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. The film follows a reporter who puts her skills to the test when her friend disappears. Starring Danielle C. Ryan and Myko Olivier, “Finding Love in Mountain View,” which follows an architect who must choose between her career and honoring her cousin’s wish, will premiere on Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. On Sept. 26 at 6 p.m., “One Summer,” starring Sam Page, Sarah Drew and Amanda Schull, will also premiere. The film follows a Jack, who takes his kids to his late wife’s beachside hometown in order to heal and become closer.

“Rise and Shine, Benedict Stone” will premiere on Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. and star Tom Everett Scott, Mia Maestro and Ella Ballentine. The movie follows Benedict Stone, whose life is turned upside down when his teenage niece arrives at his doorstep. Following up is “The Vows We Keep,” on Oct. 10 at 6 p.m., starring Fiona Gubelmann, Antonio Cayonne and Lina Thorson. The film follows an event planner who must organize the perfect wedding for her sister in less than a month. Lastly is “Untitled Signed, Sealed, Delivered” premiering Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. and starring Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Crystal Lowe and Geoff Gustafson. As Shane and Oliver prepare for their wedding, they must pause to help a young boy fighting cancer reunite with his best friend.

PBS announced that Season 10 of “Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr.” will premiere in January 2022. Each episode of the show brings in celebrity guests and uses DNA, genealogical research and other resources to uncover things they didn’t know about their ancestry. The 10 episodes of the upcoming season will feature Pamela Adlon, Erin Burnett, Amy Carlson, David Chang, Terry Crews, Brittany Packnett Cunningham, Lee Daniels, Tony Danza, Raúl Esparza, Kathryn Hahn, Rebecca Hall, Anita Hill, Regina King, Nathan Lane, John Leguizamo, Damon Lindelof, Mario Lopez, Leslie Odom, Jr., André Leon Talley, Melissa Villaseñor and Lena Waithe. Gates, Jr. writes, hosts and executive produces. Other executive producers include Dyllan McGee and Peter Kunhardt, John F. Wilson on behalf of WETA and Bill Gardner on behalf of PBS. Adult Swim announced that “Robot Chicken” will return for its 11th season on Sept. 6. The 15-minute stop-motion comedy series is filled with hilarious parodies and insane characters, from Joe Exotic to Peppa Pig. The new season will air Monday through Thursday at midnight from Sept. 6 to 23. “Robot Chicken” is created and executive produced by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, while their Stoopid Buddy Stoodios partners John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner also executive produce. FIRST LOOKS

HBO Max released a trailer for “Sweet Life: Los Angeles,” Issa Rae’s new unscripted series about a young Black friend group in South LA. The nine-episode series will chart their relationships to each other as they each pursue different career goals in music, fashion, real estate and more. Rae executive produces on behalf of her company Hoorae: Main Event Media, an All3Media America company. Morning Dew Pictures also produces. Montrel McKay, Jimmy Fox, Sheri Maroufkhani, Leola Westbrook and Sun de Graaf also executive produce, with Rajah Ahmed and Pyongson “Sunny” Yim as co-executive producers and Sara Rastogi and Ashley Calloway as producers. The first three episodes of “Sweet Life: Los Angeles” will debut on HBO Max on Aug. 19, with three more on Aug. 26 and the final three on Sept. 2. A reunion special will be released on Sept. 9. Netflix released a trailer for the sixth and final season of “Lucifer.” The end of Season 5 saw Lucifer (Tom Ellis) almost becoming God. Season 6 will follow the Lord of Hell as the world unravels without a God. “Lucifer” also stars Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Scarlett Estevez and Rachael Harris. After the series was canceled by Fox after three seasons, Netflix picked it up for two more. While Season 5 was supposed to be its last, Netflix announced a “FINAL final” sixth season in June 2020. “Lucifer” is produced by Warner Bros. Television in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television, based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for Vertigo from DC Entertainment. Tom Kapinos developed “Lucifer” for television. The series is executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Joe Henderson, Ildy Modrovich, Sheri Elwood and KristieAnne Reed. Fox released a new promo for “The Big Leap,” the network’s upcoming series about those working on and hoping to compete on a reality dance show. The series stars Scott Foley, Teri Polo, Piper Perabo, Simone Recasner, Ser’Darius Blain, Jon Rudnitsky, Raymond Cham Jr., Mallory Jansen, Kevin Daniels and Anna Grace Barlow. Liz Heldens created the show and serves as executive producer alongside Jason Winer, who also directs, and Sue Naegle. ​​”The Big Leap” premieres Sept. 20, at 9 p.m. Watch the promo below.

RENEWALS

Netflix announced that “Kid Cosmic” has been renewed for Seasons 2 and 3, with Season 2 premiering on Sept. 7. Season 1 of the animated superhero series followed young Kid leading a superhero team — a ragtag group including characters like his grandfather and a cat — in the fight against alien invasions. In Season 2, the crew ventures to outer space. Amanda C. Miller, Jack Fisher, Keith Ferguson, Lily Rose Silver, Fred Tatasciore, Bobby Moynihan, Kim Yarbrough, Cree Summer and Tom Kenny star. EXECUTIVE NEWS

Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network announced that Jason DeMarco will take on a new role as senior vice president of anime and action series and longform programming. This is a newly expanded position, as he will continue in his current role as Adult Swim’s senior vice president heading of anime and action. DeMarco will lead the studios’ effort to produce anime content in collaboration with studios in Japan and oversee development of animated action projects. The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” will be one of his first projects in the new role. DeMarco will report to Sam Register, president of Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios, and Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim.

CASTING

Netflix announced Daniel Sunjuta will join the cast of “Echoes” starring Michelle Monaghan and Matt Bomer. “Echoes” is a mystery thriller about two identical twins, Leni and Gina, both played by Monoghan, who share a secret life. Since they were children, the twins would secretly swap lives, sharing two homes, both husbands and a child. When one of the twins goes missing, it throws their calculated world in for a loop. Sunjuta plays the character of Charlie Davenport, a quintessential Los Angeles psychotherapist who is married to Gina. Charlie finds himself caught in the whirlwind of Gina’s deep connection with Leni. Vanessa Gazy is the creator, executive producer and writer of the series. Executive producing alongside Gazy are Imogen Banks and co-showrunners Brian Yorkey and Quinton Peeples.
