Netflix Orders More Episodes of ‘The Joel McHale Show’

Netflix has ordered another six episodes of “The Joel McHale Show With Joel McHale,” bringing the show’s first-season total to 19 installments.

The new half-hour segs will bow all at once on July 15. Lionsgate TV’s “Joel McHale Show” bowed in February with episodes rolling out weekly. McHale unveils the additional series order in the episode to bow May 13 featuring Seth Rogen as guest.

“Joel McHale Show” is a mix of celebrity interviews and sketch bits along with McHale’s riffs on news of the day and news of the weird. Season’s one guests to date have included Kevin Hart, Kristen Bell, Drew Barrymore, Timothy Olyphant, Alison Brie, Gabriel Iglesias, Bellamy Young, Susan Kelechi Watson, Anna Faris, Eugenio Derbez, Billy Eichner, and Paul Reiser.

McHale is executive producer of the series along with filmmaker Paul Feig, KP Anderson, Jessie Henderson, Brad Stevens, and Boyd Vico. “Joel McHale Show” hails from Pygmy Wolf Productions, Free Period Productions, and Feigco Entertainment in addition to Lionsgate Television.
