What’s new on Netflix in May 2024?

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — With the beginning of May comes another drop of new releases from Netflix.

The popular streaming service has added a wave of new movies, as well as some much anticipated series.

For instance, “Bridgerton” fanatics can curtsy to season three. The romance and drama is sure to continue for those who enjoy watching this Regency era love story.

Also on the lineup for May, Netflix is releasing a limited-series called “A Man in Full.” Based on fiction author Tom Wolfe’s 1998 bestseller book, this watch will peer into the life of an Atlanta real estate tycoon who’s faced with a crumbling empire.

Then you have some “feel good” films like “Eat Pray Love,” starring Julia Roberts as as Elizabeth Gilbert. The movie, based on Gilbert’s memoir, tells the story of a newly divorced career woman who’s searching for more meaning in life.

For those who prefer a good laugh, the comedy film “Unfrosted,” directed by Jerry Seinfeld, is set to debut Wednesday, May 3. It’s a “tale of ambition, betrayal, sugar, and menacing milkmen,” as described by Netflix.

Some other older classics that can be expected on the streaming platform this month include “Shrek,” “The Wedding Planner,” “The Nutty Professor,” “Jumanji” and more.
