Netflix Cancels Spike Lee’s “She’s Gotta Have It” After 2 Seasons

Creator Spike Lee will reportedly shop the series to other outlets

Less than two months after its season two premiere, Netflix has canceled Spike Lee’s series “She’s Gotta Have It.” Lee’s first television project, the show ran for 19 episodes. Lee himself directed every episode. Lee is expected to search for a new home for the series, Variety reports. Season two featured music from Frank Ocean, Prince, Madonna, Erykah Badu, Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder. Watch the second season trailer below.

Lee currently has a film in production with Netflix, Da 5 Bloods, a war drama about Vietnam War veterans returning to the country starring Chadwick Boseman, Delroy Lindo, Giancarlo Esposito, and Jean Reno.
