Netflix Announces New Movies & TV Shows for December 2019
Each month Netflix releases a new set of movies and TV shows to binge. This month, the launch of Disney+ and its deal with Hulu has Netflix feeling the heat. Netflix is pulling out all of the stops to regain attention this month. Many shows that already exist on Netflix will be releasing their next season including 'Fuller House' (Season 5), 'The Magicians' (Season 4), 'Outlander' (Season 3), and the most anticipated release, stalker drama 'You' (Season 2) starring Penn Badgley.

Netflix is also pushing its sci-fi initiative by releasing classics 'Austin Powers' classics like 'Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery,' 'Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me,' and 'Austin Powers in Goldmember.'
Netflix will also be sporting holiday cheer releasing Christmas movies like 'Jack Whitehall: Christmas with my Father,' 'Spirit Riding Free: The Spirit of Christmas,' 'A Family Reunion Christmas,' and 'A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby' which is part of a parody franchise poking fun at all the fuss surrounding the real-life Royals.
Netflix will also be releasing some new films and TV shows that are worth seriously noting. 'Marriage Story' starring Scarlett Johansson, Adam Driver, andLaura Dern has been heavily discussed in the media about possibly being in this year's Oscars circuit. Netflix describes the film as " Academy Award Nominated filmmaker Noah Baumbach directs this incisive and compassionate look at a marriage coming apart and a family staying together," and has already [uploaded a trailer.] (https://youtu.be/BHi-a1n8t7M) 'Marriage Story' will be available on Netflix December 6th.
Netflix is also releasing an original series called 'Dead Kids.' Bustle describes the series as a "story of a socially awkward teen who quickly bonds with a group of misfits. Together, the group concocts a plan to take out the school's arrogant rich kid, that is until their kidnapping antics take an unexpected and deadly turn. In other words, be afraid. Be very afraid. It's not exactly a warm and fuzzy holiday movie, but it'll certainly leave you on the edge of your seat."
Along with the 'Austin Powers' additions, Netflix plans on pushing its sci-fi initiative with a new original series titled 'V Wars." Netflix describes the plot of the series: "A fast-spreading disease that turns victims into blood-sucking fiends pits two best friends against each other in a fight for humanity's future." The cast will include Ian Somerhalderas Dr. Luther Swann, Kyle Breitkopf as Dez and Adrian Holmes as Michael Fayne.
It is unclear whether Netflix's new series will outshine the spectacle of Disney+ this Holiday season.
