Here at Esquire, we believe your living space should be a reflection of who you've worked so hard to become. All it takes are a few upgrades. These are the stylish (and functional) items worth buying to make your house a place you're proud to call home.

Up now: a coffee maker to save you from your snooze button.

Waking up is a scam. There's no denying that. It only gets harder when the nights are longer, the weather's colder, and all you wanna do is bury your face in a favorite pillow and pretend it's not Monday. Or Tuesday. Or so on. But the march of time goes on with or without us, and so does the work week, so you've gotta stay sharp.

The Nespresso Creatista Plus is here to help with all that. Designed by the brilliant engineering minds over at Breville, it's a sleek-as-hell, stainless steel espresso machine that dispenses the liquid courage you need to take snooze season head on. And whether you're a seasoned home barista or merely need a damn cuppa, it's all available to you at the push of a button.

With just some fresh water and one of Nespresso's dozens of flavor capsules, the Creatista Plus offers endless options to get creative. The machine makes black coffee, cappuccinos, and lattes, and even lets you froth milk. You can set the temperature (11 settings!) and texture (eight levels!), if that's your thing. With new flavor collections releasing all the time, there's never really an excuse to get bored of the same-old, same-old. And while the machine itself is expensive, capsules typically cost less than $1, which saves you a bundle in the long run. We'll let you do the math on all those Starbucks runs.

The LCD display is sharp and easy to use; just set your preference, and the machine takes care of the rest. It also lets you know when you're out of water, or the capsule tray needs to be emptied for recycling, so there's no confusion keeping you from your early morning pick-me-up.

I've had mine for a little over a year now, and in that time I've only run into one real issue: When I fill the tank, select my coffee, and hit start-only to realize I forgot the mug, returning to find the kitchen table and chairs drenched in a lungo intenso that's as aromatic as it is a pain in the ass to clean up. Yes, it seems human error is the one thing Breville and Nespresso haven't accounted for. Yet. With all the terrifying advances in robotics lately, we're sure it won't be long.

Okay, maybe one more press of that snooze button couldn't hurt.
