Neil Lane, Go-To Jeweler for the Bachelor Franchise, Says He's Never Watched the Show

Neil Lane, the jeweler behind every engagement ring on the Bachelor and Bachelorette for the past decade, revealed that does not watch the hit reality dating show.

“I take a peek,” the famed jeweler Neil Lane told The New York Times in a new interview. “But no, I don’t have a ‘Bachelor’ party.”

While he’s not part of Bachelor Nation, he does have something in common with many viewers: He truly believes in love. “I do believe love always works out,” Lane told the NYT.

“It’s all about the love and affection and sharing that people have,” he continued. “And sometimes it doesn’t work out, with all the pretty finery and the lavish or exotic weddings. It just doesn’t. But for a moment in time, there is a real unity between people, there’s a real magnificent energy that comes out of these people that I’m working with. I focus on that.”

In addition to creating engagement rings and wedding bands for the show’s contestants and countless of A-list Hollywood stars (including Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, John Krasinki and Emily Blunt and Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth), he is also publishing his own book of wedding tips and tricks.

His new book Style Your Wedding with Neil Lane, hits shelves in October and is positioned as an ultimate wedding guidebook that helps readers through the process of selecting and refining their personal wedding aesthetic, with themes ranging from rustic to romantic and vintage to elegant.

Lane will make a cameo during the two-part finale of The Bachelor, which kicks off Monday night at 8 p.m. EST.

Viewers last saw Bachelor Colton Underwood hopping a fence after he admitted that he loved Cassie, who dumped him during the Fantasy Suite date episode.

“It was when I was walking up into the Fantasy Suite by myself,” Underwood said during The Bachelor: Women Tell All special. “Having the time to myself … I realized I’ve been pushed pretty hard. As much as I say this was the best thing for me, it was a challenge, too, at times. I would say having that alone time and realizing I needed more of it.”

So who will Underwood pop the question to — and what will the ring look like? Find out when the first part of the two-part finale airs Monday at 8 p.m. EST.
