Negai no Astro chapter 2 recap: Hibaru saves the people from the Hawks faction

The chapter begins with Hibaru waking up from his two-week-long hibernation to see Terasu waiting for him. He looks around and sees the destruction caused by the meteorite shower, thinking it’s all a dream. Hibaru then meets the old man from the candy shop and is delighted to see him alive.

However, he notices that his store has been completely demolished, but the man is still smiling. Terasu tells him the man is only pretending to be okay, and the only ones that profited from this incident are the Yotsurugi Family’s Hawk faction.

He and Terasu then go to check out the Hawk faction and see that they have taken over the family headquarters and are using it to hoard supplies. When he arrives, the members are shocked to see them alive, as Shio had told everyone they had both died. They rush to call Shio to inform him of Hibaru’s arrival. Shio, drunk on his new-found powers, gives the order to kill them. The news shocked Hibaru as he had always seen Shio as his brother.

The members start revealing their Astros and attack the two of them. Hibaru then reveals his Astro, punching one of the members far into the sky. Shocked at his Astro’s power level, they all retreat, telling him he has messed with the wrong people. He tells them to ask Shio to stop bullying civilians and face him one-on-one.

Hibaru then leads the people into the warehouse and reveals the supplies. Overwhelmed by the amount, they ask how they could pay for it, but Hibaru takes the candy from the old man as payment. The chapter ends with everyone cheering for him.
